1. What is your language pet peeve. (example ‘hot water heater’, why would you heat hot water
people saying worshed instead of washed or wash, or add like an er sound to it like warter instead of water. OOOH, and Nuclear vs nuculear….uh….it’s new-clee-errr….
2. What is your favorite word? Both dirty and clean?
shit probably dirty. clean, probably just saying no-way all the time.
3. What is the one word you cannot spell?
nauseous. i look it up, and normally it only shows nauseated, like it’s not really a real word. i would think it was like cautious….i’d put nautious. even my husband just laughed at me because i admitted it to him.
4. What is the one word you always pronounce wrong?
i usually pronounce everything correctly unless it’s when i’m reading. it’s getting the words actually in my mouth that is the bigger issue.
5. If you could erase one popular catchphrase from the english language, what would it be?
uhhhh, and like. uhhhh, what was i saying? oh, like i was saying, that one actor dude, uhhh, what’s his name? the one hottie like dude was arrested and stuff for drunken driving
yeah-like that.
Bonus (as in optional): The late, and very hot Michael Hutchence (INXS) once sang, “Words are weapons, sharper than knives”. What is the most hurtful thing you have ever said to anyone? Was it deliberate or accidental? What was the most hurtful thing ever said to you? Do you think it was deliberate or accidental?
i told a coworker she looked like ugly betty. i didn’t know americas name at the time, and i did try to correct myself, but felt so bad for other people hearing me say it. most hurtful thing said wasn’t to me, but i found on an email my dad sent to people saying i wasn’t helping him after his surgery, but i was irritating, and he doesn’t know why they (as in my family) told me to come out to help which is why he didn’t want me to know to begin with. needless to say i hauled ass outta there, trying my damndest not to cry. i don’t care if it was because of an accidental viewing thinking it was an email to me (i sent a photo of him to his friend per his request, so i opened it in his trash to see if he was talking to me or my dad) and saw that. it really hurt my feelings, especially earlier in the day when he was asking me to stay a week or two. (which is really not normal for him)
